E. Phelps GayChair

A former partner and managing partner of Christovich & Kearney, LLP, and past president of the Louisiana State Bar Association, E. Phelps Gay currently concentrates on arbitration and mediation work as a member of the Patterson Resolution Group and a Certified Neutral with the American Arbitration Association. He is also available for ethics counsel and expert services relating to attorney fees.

As a long-time member of the Supreme Court of Louisiana Historical Society, Phelps has delivered continuing legal education programs on Abraham Lincoln, A.P. Tureaud, and the late Chief Justice Pascal F. Calogero, Jr. A graduate of Princeton University and Tulane University School of Law, Phelps is the author of numerous professional articles, including Professionalism in Depositions: The Sound of Silence and History of the Louisiana Bar: Kingfish’s Legacy.
