1825 Civil Code Bicentennial CLE – Tunc Pro Nunc: Modern Cases Through the Lens of the 1825 Civil Code – February 20, 2025
On Feb. 20, 2025, at Abby Singer’s Bistro in Shreveport, First Judicial District Judge Brady D. O’Callaghan and attorney Clinton M. Bowers presented a CLE program, co-sponsored by the Supreme Court of Louisiana Historical Society and the Shreveport Bar Association, commemorating the bicentennial of the 1825 Louisiana Civil Code. Titled “Tunc Pro Nunc—Modern Cases Through the Lens of the 1825 Civil Code,” the program examined several articles of the 1825 Code that remain in force, as well as others that were later eliminated, amended or held unconstitutional.
