Paul R. Baier’s Address Celebrating 800 Years of Magna Carta

Our Secretary, Professor Paul R. Baier, LSU Law Center, delivered the principal address celebrating 800 years of Magna Carta at the invitation of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, in the Old Historic Calcasieu Parish Courthouse, Lake Charles, May 8, 2015.  His address was entitled, “From Magna Carta to Chambers v. Florida: Hugo Black and ‘the law of the land.’”  From the witness box, he invites you to read his address, but he cautions that he was not under oath.
