Edward L. Diefenthal
Edward L. “Ned” Diefenthal was born in New Orleans, LA, USA, on August 14, 1942, and is the Owner and CEO of the Woodvine Group, LLC, with headquarters in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans. His family’s original business was in metals having been founded in 1900 by his grandfather. Woodvine Group, LLC is the holding company of Louisiana Chemical Equipment Co, LLC and Anvil Attachments, LLC. LCEC is a substantial global business that buys and sells chemical equipment. Anvil is engaged in the manufacturing of material handling equipment for use in the United States and world-wide. Woodvine is also engaged in several venture capital investments, including an investment in the emerging technology of oil sands processing. Since completing his MBA in 1966, Ned has been a businessman and entrepreneur, except for a tour of duty in the Louisiana Army National Guard. Ned has been married since 1977 and resides with his wife Nancy in a New Orleans suburb. He has a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from Tulane University.
