James H. Boddie, Jr.

The Honorable James H. Boddie, Jr., Ret., received his B.A. degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1971 and his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University School of Law in 1974.  He practiced law from 1974 until becoming a judge in 1985 taking his first judicial oath of office December 28, 1984 as judge for Division “G” of the Fourth Judicial District Court, parishes of Morehouse and Ouachita.  In 1996, Judge Boddie retired from the bench.  However, he routinely serves as Judge Ad Hoc and Pro Tempore on assignment from the Louisiana State Supreme Court.  He is a historical enthusiast and avid collector of antiques.  He and his wife Julia reside in Ruston, Louisiana.
