Minor Pipes is a founding member of the law firm Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, L.L.C. Mr. Pipes provides counsel in insurance coverage, construction law, general litigation, corporate litigation, bad faith insurance defense and class action litigation. He currently serves on the Insurance Committee of the Chinese Drywall MDL in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, where he was responsible for negotiating the nationwide Global Settlement.
Mr. Pipes graduated from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During his time at LSU, he was a member of the Order of the Coif, Louisiana Law Review.
Mr. Pipes is very active in the community. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Board of Governors and is Vice-President of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. He is currently serving his sixth term as a Co-Chair of the LSBA and Louisiana Judicial College Summer School and Annual Meeting for Lawyers and Judges. He has been recognized by numerous organizations, including being selected for inclusion in the 2014 The Best Lawyers in America in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law and Litigation – Construction.
